The Seclusion
If you’re in the market for an intimate wedding location, The Seclusion is for you. It’s in the name! Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this private sanctuary is the perfect getaway venue. Couples can truly detach from the hustle and bustle of life back home and surround themselves with tranquility and nature with panoramic views of breathtaking scenery. The luxurious barn embraces rustic elements in a modern way, bringing a modern chic vibe to this Lexington, Virginia wedding venue. Every detail about this property has been thoughtfully designed for maximum luxury and beauty. From the veranda with 360 degree views of the Shenandoah to the 72 acres of woodlands, wildflower meadows, and stunning views, it’s hard to beat The Seclusion!
Airlie
This Warrenton, Virginia outdoor wedding venue has picturesque scenery surrounded by historic charm. Couples can share their vows in the beautiful surroundings of meticulously maintained formal gardens or lakeside. We personally love the butterfly gardens, but Airlie has a variety of open air spaces with a whimsical feel. And we can’t forget the epic outdoor staircase giving all the European vibes! With onsite accommodations with charming cottages and guest houses for your guests to enjoy, Airlie would be a hit with everyone as your wedding venue.
Eastwood Farm & Winery
Eastwood Farm & Winery is only a few minutes from downtown Charlottesville, but is a secluded getaway in the mountains. This family owned and operated farm has an onsite cottage for you to get ready in, and a winery that stretches up into the mountains. The Mountaintop is the perfect spot for a ceremony, overlooking all of the farm against a backdrop of ever-blooming wildflowers and clear Blue Ridge Mountains. Just below is The Terrace, which has the same gorgeous views along with the apple and pear orchard. The Terrace is perfect for your reception, under a gorgeous sailcloth tent. Doesn’t that sound amazing?
River Farm
Once owned by George Washington, this historic mansion in Alexandria, VA now serves as the headquarters of the American Horticultural Society. The mansion is located on 25 acres with a spectacular view of the Potomac River. This makes it a gorgeous spot for an outdoor wedding in Northern Virginia. You can get lost in the expansive woodlands and gardens, filled with vivid florals and natural foliage. We love the wrap around porch and spacious slate patio ideal for your tented reception with chandeliers and bistro lighting.
Market at Grelen
This has to be one of the prettiest and best wedding venues in Virginia, only 2 hours from DC in rural Orange County, VA. Market at Grelen is located on a 1000 acre tree nursery and has beautiful views overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. They have specifically designed event areas to embrace nature while maintaining elegant aesthetics for weddings. They have thought of it all! There are multiple locations for the ceremony, including the Berry Field, Half Moon Garden, and The Greenhouse. Your reception following will have incredible mountain views behind the clear top tent. With vineyards in walking distance and nearby lodging at Boxwood Villa and Spotswood Lodge, Market at Grelen is a no brainer!
