If your personal style walks the line between natural + elegance, Emily and Adrian’s stunning wedding at The Seclusion in Lexington Virginia should be right up your alley! The Seclusion offers the most beautiful sweeping mountain views, a perfect spot to say “I do”. My jaw dropped when I saw the backdrop for the first time. From that initial meeting with the couple at the venue, I knew their wedding was going to be amazing. I would define Emily and Adrian as a fun-loving, adventurous, and outdoorsy couple. Living in New York, but knowing their dream wedding venue was in the heart of Virginia, secluded by nature.
We loved everything about the this Lexington, Virginia wedding venue. So when discussing the design, with the setting so beautiful as it is, our goal was to enhance that beauty with added elegance and warmth. We kept it simple, but romantic, with a palette of soft hues of blush, creams, and yellow with gold accents. The couple made subtle nods to the mountainscape with customized matchbook favors, cocktail napkins, and their table numbers, which were named after trails and mountains they visited together.
Despite a number of obstacles along the way, E & A’s wedding day turned out exactly as they imagined, full of lots of laughs and surrounded by the love of close friends and family. The band, Jukeboxx, kept the dance floor packed all night long. By request, they played a few traditional Ukranian songs, which really got the crowd going! The night ended with the couple sharing one last dance alone to John Legend’s ‘All of Me’, while their guests prepared to send on them on their married way with sparklers.
Emily & Adrian, you two are absolutely amazing for dealing with all the chaos and unknowns that COVID threw at us. Looking through these photos you would never know all the hoops we had to jump through the months leading up. It was an absolute honor designing and planning this wedding and I will forever be scrolling back through these images.
