There is no shortage of Charlottesville wedding venues, which makes being a wedding planner in Charlottesville, VA exciting! Many of the wedding venues people know of in this town are wineries, but there are lots of others that deserve love, too. Let’s talk about them!
This venue is located at a bend in the Rivanna River and is a restoration of the 19th century textile mill. It is one of the only Charlottesville wedding venues that has an upscale urban industrial vibe. If you’re wanting a modern and edgy wedding, the Wool Factory has large windows, exposed brick and beams, and is perfect for that vibe. They also include food and beverage on site with a brewery, which makes it great for the beer drinkers out there!
This stunning 522-acre private sanctuary is nestled in the heart of Keswick and is the epitome of luxurious and elegant ambiance. There are three different wedding suites for couples to utilize when getting ready on the day of and can accommodate up to 12 on site. Prepare to be blown away by the impressive grounds and the highest quality craftsmanship in the estate!
Hugged by the Blue Ridge Mountains and overlooking the Rockfish river, this venue is completely secluded. It is intimate but spacious with over 600 acres of private estate. If you’re looking to enjoy a wedding weekend with family and friends, guests can stay overnight in the fully refurbished modern-rustic cabins. These cabins include abundant amenities, such as a pool table, hot tub, sauna, and fire pits. You also can have access to a wide variety of activities and amenities on the ranch. Ample opportunities for fishing, horseback riding, canoeing, and swimming. We have a wedding at this Charlottesville wedding venue in October, and we can’t wait to experience everything it has to offer!
The Old Metropolitan Hall is located off the outdoor pedestrian mall in downtown Charlottesville. This venue is ideal for those looking for a historic and charming venue with urban vibes. The restored details like original antique tin tiles on the ceiling, whitewashed walls, and glass chandeliers have preserved the beauty from when it was first built. My favorite part has to be downstairs. The cellar has a classic style like no other with black and white tiled floors and their little hidden secret, the “speakeasy.”
This venue is perfect for the couple that highly values history and rustic charm. Once the estate of President James Monroe and first lady Elizabeth Monroe, this venue can host up to 200 guests. There are unique locations for both the wedding ceremony and reception, all of which are very picturesque. In fact, the whole estate is picturesque, with plenty of photo opportunities between the boxwood gardens, driveway, and private gardens.
If you’re looking for the serenity of nature on your wedding day, this venue is for you. With rustic charm, fresh mountain air, and scenic views, this unique and versatile venue is on 129 acres of woodland. There are several ceremony locations to choose from, including mountain, fields, or lake views, allowing you to curate your dream outdoor wedding. There are onsite accommodations for 50+ in cottages and guests visiting this serene venue can enjoy hiking and biking trails, canoeing, and fishing. An outdoors lover’s dream!
