Working with Krissy & Max was a treat! These two are incredibly sweet and so relaxed and down to earth. They met 7 years ago at Wake Forest University through mutual friends. It is evident from the words spoken by the guests at their chic and romantic wedding that everyone knew very quickly that they were made for each other!

With their desired neutral color palette of greenery and white with gold accents, I had the best time designing their event. They booked with us in July 2021, so we got to work together for a year leading up to the wedding. I love getting the opportunity to be around for the whole process for my couples!

This chic and romantic wedding was held in Georgetown at Sequoia, a gorgeous restaurant on the banks of the Potomac River. It was a clear summer day which allowed for cocktail hour on the patio overlooking the water. The staff at Sequoia is always super helpful, and were pros for the room flip needed that day.

My favorite part of any wedding is the bridal entrance, and Krissy chose “Can’t Help Falling in Love” the instrumental version by Alan Ng. It was a beautiful moment, and she looked stunning in her open back gown.

As the bride made her way down the aisle, you couldn’t help but take in the gorgeous florals by Rachel from Floral & Bloom. I loved the overall design – it was simple, yet elegant. Krissy loves hydrangeas, so we had a lot of lush floor arrangements to make it feel like she was getting married in a garden. The ceremony backdrop was my favorite. After the ceremony, we moved it behind the sweetheart table to get the most out of it.

From the groom and groomsmen having a bowling luncheon at Pinstripes earlier in the day to the signature cocktails named after their dogs (Luna and Bruno), this couple knows how to have a good time! We tray passed a fun drink aptly named Scarlet Fog later in the evening. Take a look – the fog coming off of it was so cool!

Krissy and Max, it’s hard not to brag when you have such wonderful and thoughtful clients like yourselves. I don’t think there was one moment that day that I didn’t see you both grinning from ear to ear. Thank you for trusting us with your vision!
